Who / What is Wallingford Dental Arts?


This dental practice was established in 1980 by Diane McIntyre, a 1979 graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Since then, the practice has evolved into a team of talented folks who work hard to live up to our motto, “Excellence with Heart”, and to serve you as you wish to be served. Having healthy, happy patients makes us happy.

General Dentistry:

Melissa Leone, DDS
Indiana University, 1998

Dr. Melissa Leone is a graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry and also holds a degree in biology from DePauw University. Before joining Wallingford Dental Arts, Dr. Leone completed a general practice residency at the University of Washington, which allowed her to treat various dental needs at UW Medical Center, Harborview, VA Hospital & Children's Hospital. Dr. Leone is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy for Sports Dentistry.

Originally from Indianapolis, Dr. Leone is an avid cyclist. She also enjoys spending her free time X-Country skiing, snowboarding & playing tennis.

Diane McIntyre, DDS
Univ. of Washington, 1979

Dr. Diane McIntyre was raised with four sisters "overseas" (Belgium, Germany, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Mexico) in a Foreign Service family. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelors in Zoology from the University of Washington. During these years, she worked summers as a Ranger-Naturalist at Mount Rainer National Park. She worked two winter seasons at Alpental Ski area before beginning her dental studies.

Dr. McIntyre graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1979. She enjoys the abundant continuing dental education opportunities available with ever advancing technologies in the field. Dr. McIntyre loves helping patients have healthy, happy smiles.

Dr. McIntyre is the proud "Mama" of five children. She and her family enjoy hiking, skiing, reading, travel, theater and cinema. She experiences vicarious thrills as a fan of her kid's basketball, soccer, and softball games.
